I'm writing this because I've gotten tired of seeing the same journal that I posted over a year ago. But I do have things to report.
First some project updates and other stuff project related.
1. I've finished the second draft of my screenplay. I think it's much better than the first draft. Is it good? I have no idea. I love me more than most but I'm not sure I can adequately judge this piece of work, if it can be called that.
2. The comic Jeff and I have been working on for...ever actually seems to be moving along. Slowly. But that's faster than it was moving six months ago or a year ago and so on. I've scripted 1st drafts of the first five issues and am currently working on the sixth issue which would complete the opening story arc. As soon as I finish that, Jeff and I will discuss the the strong points and weak points, then I'll tighten up the scripts or rewrite them as necessary and Jeff will begin the illustrations. Whoo! It seems so close doesn't it?
3. I'm currently working on what I'm hoping will end up being an online comic. Each "issue"(normally not a fan of the quotation marks used in this way but I'm just not sure issue is the right word) will be between 4-8 pages in length. This is to keep it short enough for me to keep up on it with relative ease. It's going to be gloriously ultra violent, I'll be posting character sketches soon as well as the page sketches as I finish them. I'll probably post the scripts after I post the completed "issues".
4. On the off chance that you are or ever have wondered what happened to the series' I was posting with semi regularity here they do still exist and I do intend to continue them but perhaps in a different form. I'll try to post updates as relevance dictates.
On to start dates.
1. I seem to be on the road to finally beginning classes on April 6th. If this does indeed happen I'll be attending the Art Institute of California-Los Angeles(yep it's a mouthful) Video Production program. I'm still hesitant because my name is of course Danny Davis and nothing works out for me. Cheers.
2. I'm currently looking for ridiculously cheap housing in the Santa Monica area with poor to moderate results, the idea is to move before the end of this month or at the very latest before the end of April.
And lastly date dates.
I have been on none. I still have made no friends here. Which I'm surprisingly okay with. There must be something wrong with my brain. Or Heroes really is that much more important to me than the company of other humans. *shrug* I guess we'll never know.
